About Me — Bryan-M: Cramer

I've worn a few hats over the years, and not all of them were cowboy hats.

My working life included nearly five decades in emergency services, beginning as a firefighter in 1974, followed by 36 years as an ambulance paramedic and later serving as a volunteer medical first responder.

But there has always been more to my life than my occupation. I've spent years playing music, building things, prospecting for gold, writing, and pursuing whatever happened to catch my interest.

Music has been part of my life for a long time. I've played drums, banjo and keyboards, and songwriting has given me another way to express the things I've experienced, observed or simply imagined.

I lean toward storytelling. Some of my songs are inspired by real events, others are fictional, and some use metaphor to convey a thought or message. Humour finds its way into a few of them, too.

Not everything I write is about me, and not every song has a hidden meaning. Sometimes a story is just a story.

Northern Freight is where I bring those stories together through country music.

I hope you enjoy listening to them as much as I've enjoyed creating them.
